Expert Book Shepherding by Judith Foster Geary
Judith Foster Geary is editor of over
60 books of fiction, nonfiction and memoir. In 2001, she joined Barbara and Bob Ingalls in founding High Country Publishers
and edited for its successor, Ingalls Publishing Group, Inc. until the death of Bob Ingalls in 2015. In her role as managing
editor, Geary was responsible for working with authors, literary agents, designers, typesetters, printers, publicists and
book retailers. In the intervening years, she learned typesetting and design by "apprenticing" with the professional designers
engaged by Ingalls and from 2014 is teaching the "Intro to Media Publishing" class at Appalachian State University. She can
now offer a complete "book shepherd" package that fosters your book in its journey from a completed manuscript to print.
